Bob

 This week we have started writing a letter, but not just any normal letter! A letter to the future me! Ever heard of a time capsule? Well, the letter we are writing is going to go in the capsule and in about 50 years some people will dig it up and try to find us and if they succeed we get our letter and we can read it. The reason we did this is because we thought it'd be really cool if in 50 years we get a letter and we get to see what things used to go on when we were 9, 10 or 11. First we had to put in some informaation about us to help find us, then we started writing. I had to block out some of my information because thats private and im not done yet but here is part of my letter!

When we are done with our script we write it on real paper and then we are gonna put all the letters into a box or a cylinder with some other stuff! I really like doing this because I get to write about my life and fun things we have done! Have you ever thought of doing a time capsule or a letter to the future? Hoki History! ^﹏^

Two weeks ago we started a Hoki History website. We all made our own individual websites! Some people did an AMAZING website! I haven’t finished mine yet but I think mine is pretty average though, this is most of our first times making a website, but I think I am doing pretty good for my first time. My website includes a working map, a bit of information, some links to different sites, some pictures, and more,

True Or False?👀

This term we have been doing something super fun for writing! We were doing one true story and one lie. The true story had to be a recount on something we did in the holidays, the lie had to be a fake recount on something we did in the holidays. When we were done we would read out both story's In front of the class and they would try to guess which one was true and which one was fake, I haven't gotten my chance to read mine out yet, but I know I will soon. One of my stories were about me in Christchurch and almost getting hit by a city train and the other one was about me going Ski-ing in Queenstown. Which one do you think is the fake? For writing  this week we made an ebook.  We used google slides and wrote the story ourself.  We used pobble365 to get some pictures, and inserted them in when we were done with our writing.  

Below is a picture of my recrafted story and below that the original story.  We learnt that we could improve our writing to make it better and more descriptive.

2020 Fixing Sentences

Today at School, we had to fix up some sentences because we were doing something related to Paddington and we were doing a google doc about it that we had to download. What we did was reading a sentence and trying to add more detail. The doc we downloaded said that the sentences were sick and needed to get better so we had to fix them. I liked it because we were able to describe it more like how it was. Heres my example.
The sick sentence: Paddington wore a coat. When I detailed the sentence: Paddington wore a beautiful, small, dark blue coat.
We did things kind of like how we did the coat but with the hat and a lot of other stuff.

Blue Colour Poem

My colour for the Colour Poem was Blue, I chose Blue Because it is one of my favourite colours.
 My least favourite thing was... Making all those Blue - Berries, ugh I never would do that again.
 I think my favourite part was... making the dress and the butter flies also picking the tune.
It was so fun working with "Animoto" because if you really like a tune and dont wanna forget the name you could make it one of you're favourites andif ya wanna see how it would look  like on you're blog you could watch it an litslen to the tune. The tune is so nice as soon as you litsen to it you know every day of you're life will be more amazing than anyone else's so put the volume up people!

All About Me

Hi my name is Kaya from Kaniere School and I really like drawing and doing crafts and I love reading books. I have four pets. Two cats a kitten and a puppy. They are all girls. I have two older siblings a brother and a sister. Every morning I go for a run, sometimes inside and sometimes outside. My favourite game on a laptop is Roblox and my favourite board game is LUDO. I can also speak Danish. I am part Dane and part kiwi because my mum and my siblings were born in Denmark and me and my dad were born in New Zealand.  I go to gymnastics and ballet I am in grade 2 for ballet and gymnastics. Everything in learning is hard at first but it gets easier every second, minute or hour. Everyone tries very hard when you have just got something right or someone has taught someone else and they know now that means that they learnt a new thing. I am very good at drawing and singing and making people happy and making people laugh. I enjoy singing and playing with my puppy and my kitten. My challenges are finishing my work and getting stronger and always being happy. My goals are to get 50 smiley faces on Xtramaths. I am looking forward to taking my chromebook home so I can work more on getting more progressions on Math Whizz because when I have just logged in to Math Whizz mum needs the computer, uh. I hope to be able to do a back walkover, cartwheel, a giant on the bar and a tuck handstand.
